Characteristics and properties: Cous cous is a preparation of durum wheat semolina flour moistened and rolled into balls, steamed, and dried. Del Colle durum wheat cous cous is the result of a careful selection of durum wheat and is meticulously processed to obtain a flawless product. Having become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, cous cous has become increasingly popular on our tables. Del Colle offers both medium-grain and coarse-grain cous cous .
In the kitchen: It's very versatile, quick and easy to prepare. An excellent alternative to pasta and rice salads.
Directions: The correct serving size is 1 cup of water for every cup of couscous . Place the couscous in a baking dish and cover with preheated water. Let sit for 10 minutes and fluff with a fork. Season with pre-baked vegetables (e.g., zucchini, onions, peppers, eggplant, and tomatoes).
It's incredibly versatile, quick and easy to make, and an excellent alternative to pasta and rice salads.
Proportion: 1.5 cups of salted water for 1 cup of couscous.
Bring the water to the boil, pour in the couscous, stir and leave to absorb for 10 minutes, then add a knob of butter or oil.
